Ooooh – other key tips: bring an umbrella. This may mark you as a tourist – apparently many locals just invest in a good raincoat – but will keep you drier in the regular rain.
Also: I really recommend signing up for a CrowdVine profile. Click on the Connect link on the main ApacheCon site, and login (either with a username/pw, or Twitter or Facebook accounts). Then when you go through the schedule grid, you can add individual sessions to a personalized schedule – and get handy ics and calendar links.
